On your first visit, we will take our time to get to know you and listen to your chief complaints, concerns, and expectations. We will thoroughly review your dental and medical histories in order to get the full picture of your oral health.
At Dayton Dental, we provide a comprehensive examination to all our new patients. The comprehensive examination includes:
- Oral cancer screening
- Extra and intraoral exam
- Screening for dental cavities
- Periodontal exam
- Dental x-rays
- Digital intraoral photographs
We will use the information gathered from the comprehensive exam to create a customized treatment plan for you. This plan will address your dental concerns and will provide a time frame for your treatment as well as the estimated costs. We will answer any questions you may have and will go over your recommended treatment plan as well as your alternatives. We want to help you make an informed decision as best as we can.
If you've recently had dental radiographs taken, please bring us a copy or ask your previous dental office to e-mail us a copy. It would also be helpful if you could bring us a list of your medications as well as an updated medical history. If you have dental benefits, please bring your insurance information so that we can better assist you in understanding the details of your plan.
